The role involves assisting in various diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, requiring independent judgment in applying ionizing radiation for radiological procedures. Key duties include patient preparation and monitoring pre- and post-procedure, equipment maintenance, and functioning as an integral part of the Cath Lab team.
Candidates must have graduated from a CAHEP accredited CVT program or a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training program, along with current BLS certification. Specific licensure and credential combinations are required based on the educational background, such as CRT and Fluoroscopy for RT graduates, and specific ARRT, CCI, or IBHRE certifications.
