Nurses will manage complex and varying patient diagnoses within a fast-paced 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit specializing in brain and spinal cord injuries and insults. Key duties include performing complete neurological assessments and providing post-operative surgical care for diverse neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Candidates must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an NLC license, along with an Associates of Nursing (ASN); a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) is preferred. A minimum requirement is Basic Life Support (AHA) certification, with other advanced certifications potentially needed based on unit specialty.

5 North Neuro Trauma Surgical is a fast-paced, 25 private bed brain and spinal cord injury and insult unit. We are a Medical-Surgical unit and considered best and most complex neuro-trauma unit in the State of Indiana. 5N focuses a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses including, but not limited to, TBIs, cerebral hemorrhages, spinal cord injury, tumors, seizures, stroke, and disease processes that affect central nervous system function (meningitis, hydrocephalus, etc.).
