The Patient Care Tech II provides basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients under the supervision of an RN, focusing on assigned areas like Emergency Services. Under general supervision by the RN, the Patient Care Tech II is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area(s) (see below). Emergency Services – basic respiratory, cardiology, nursing care, phlebotomy, assists with orthopedic devices and procedures (infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric).

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Required qualifications include completion of a CNA, first semester nursing program, or EMT program (for Emergency Services hires after 10/31/16), along with current California Nursing Assistant or EMT Certification and a National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association. Experience with basic data entry is also required.
