Ultrasound Tech

About the Role: This is a part time position to start (Must be able to work Monday, Friday and some Saturdays)

• As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process by performing ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
• You will operate sophisticated imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of patients’ internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
• Your expertise will ensure accurate imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• You will collaborate closely with healthcare teams to provide timely and precise diagnostic information that supports effective patient care.
• This role demands a strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and compassionate patient interaction to contribute meaningfully to clinical outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications: · You must be certified in ECHO

· Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

· Preferred credentials

RDCS or RCS (Cardiac) and RVT or RVS (Vascular).

· Current BLS certification.

· Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and Doppler techniques.

· Excellent patient care and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in specialty areas (e.g., RVT, RDCS) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare information technology.
• Previous experience working in a hospital, outpatient clinic, or diagnostic imaging center.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient care and communication.

Responsibilities

· Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, including 2D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler studies.

· Perform vascular studies, including carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, ABI testing, and abdominal aorta screening.

· Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and measurements according to established protocols.

· Prepare and position patients and explain procedures.

· Document findings and maintain accurate patient records.

· Maintain ultrasound equipment and follow safety and infection control standards.
