The MRI Technologist must demonstrate proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams across all age groups while strictly adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, preparing patients, ensuring diagnostic image quality, assisting in patient management, and administering intravenous contrast.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited Radiology program, holding a current BLS certification. Required qualifications also include specialized training in MRI technology, cross-sectional anatomy, and obtaining Intravenous Contrast Certification within three months of hire.
Demonstrates proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures. MRI Tech operates the MRI equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures that enough information has been obtained to make a diagnosis, assist in the management of patients and present images to the physician for diagnosis. Intravenous therapy/contrast selection and injection. Prepare and enter written documentation as require by the department, such as informed consent. Float to off-sites as needed. Rotating weekends and holidays required.
