The physician is responsible for providing comprehensive care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods, including diagnosing conditions and prescribing appropriate medications. This role also involves performing various examinations, conducting patient assessments, collaborating with personnel, and ensuring continuous improvement in patient outcomes through monitoring and education.
Candidates must be a licensed Physician (MD/DO) in good standing with the State of Texas, holding current DEA licensure and CPR/Basic Life Support certifications. Board Certification (or eligibility) in the appropriate specialty recognized by ABOG - ACGME, CRCPSC, or AOA is required.
