The RN is responsible for providing care to a group of patients using the nursing process and ensuring patient needs are met. Responsibilities include assessments, implementing care plans, and maintaining documentation.
Candidates must be licensed RNs with at least 2 years of cardiac or inpatient experience. Certifications required include ACLS within one year and BLS within 30 days.
18 Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): 18 years and old. Cardiac arrhythmia, Chest pain, CHF, Pacemakers, Ablations, Heart attacks (MI), and Cardiac interventions. Nurse to Patient ratio: 1:4-5 Department culture and resources: CVCU is a fast paced, high patient turnover unit. We admit and d/c multiple patients each day. The department culture is focused on teamwork, ensuring that patients’ needs are met working closely with interdisciplinary partners.
IV pumps, SCD machines, Bedside monitors, cardiac monitoring, oxygen, ambulation equipment, lift equipment. The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution.
