The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides superior patient care and performs both clinical and administrative tasks in a clinic-based environment. Responsibilities include entering medical history, supporting patient visits, and maintaining medical records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, graduate from an accredited medical assistant program, and hold current certification as a CMA or RMA. Basic knowledge of EMR and BLS certification are also required.
Associate’s degree.
