About the role

Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level and acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines and may require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.

This is a WYH float pool comprised of registered nurses, nursing assistants, and patient safety aides with advanced competencies to care for patients in a variety of settings including acute care, intermediate care, critical care, and the emergency department.

NRT team members, at the direction of the central staffing office, are deployed to patient care areas across the hospital as needed in collaboration with unit nursing staff members to provide expert clinical care.

Once off orientation opportunities to cross train to areas such as non-invasive cardiology , wound care, virtual RN, and chemo as needs are available.

Full-Time - 0.9 FTE/72 Hours Biweekly Day Shift - 0700-1900 Every 3rd Weekend; 1 Major, 1 Minor and 1 Split Holiday Eligible for Shift Differential Float Pay Sign-On Bonus Eligible General Summary Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital.

Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit.

Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

The centerpiece will be a new, eight-story surgical and critical care tower, which will dramatically expand the hospital’s intensive care unit as well as develop new state of-the-art surgical suites, making it one of the top 10 largest hospitals in Pennsylvania with approximately 600 beds.
