About the role

The Certified Veterinary Technician will be responsible for animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, and management of medical and hospitalized cases. Additional duties include administering medications, communicating treatment plans with clients, and assisting in surgical procedures.

Company DescriptionLowell Road Veterinary Center is a state of the art, multi-doctor veterinary hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Hudson, New Hampshire.

We understand all the different ways your pet communicates love and trust.

Our hospital offers many services including annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in-house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care, rehabilitation services, and acupuncture.We are ready with a positive, experienced support staff and excellent clientele and well equipped with ultrasound, underwater treadmill therapy, massage therapy, digital radiography, dental x-ray, and a complete in-house laboratory.

We also have our sister hospital 25 minutes down the road in Bedford, New Hampshire, Bedford Veterinary Medical Center.***Applicants should understand that shifts will be expected to be covered both at this location as well as at our sister hospital located at 246 State Rte 101, Bedford, NH 03110***Our hours of operation are:Monday - Friday: 7AM - 6PMSaturday: 7AM - 4PMSunday: 9AM - 3PM To learn more about us, click https://www.lowellroadvetcenter.comJob DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.This position will also be required to provide support for Urgent Care shifts when needed.Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Certified Veterinary Technician with an active license and have excellent communication skills. A minimum of 1 year of professional experience is preferred, along with knowledge of veterinary procedures and safe animal restraint techniques.
