The Patient Care Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide care to designated patients, including assisting with activities of daily living and mobility. This role also involves continuous observation, such as suicide prevention, and maintaining a clean and orderly patient environment.
Candidates must possess current Basic Life Support certification and knowledge of age-appropriate care procedures and standards. Essential requirements include strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle high stress and frequent interruptions, and proficiency in organizing tasks and maintaining concentration.
