The specialist is responsible for verifying client insurance benefits and eligibility to ensure coverage for services provided, analyzing benefit issues, and recommending courses of action. Additionally, they must assist clients with AHCCCS eligibility and enrollment, and update demographic information in the electronic health record.
A minimum of a High School education or GED is required, along with at least two years of direct experience with the AHCCCS application process. Strong knowledge of HIPAA, attention to detail, communication skills, and proficiency with EHR and Microsoft Office are necessary.

EMPACT-SPC is looking for an Eligibility Benefits Specialist with previous experience in an outpatient behavioral health setting, health care provider office or similar environment that can represent our agency professionally, treat our clients with respect and in a caring manner.
Under the direction of the Site Administrator, the Eligibility Benefits Specialist, is responsible for verifying client’s insurance benefits and eligibility to assure insurance coverage for services provided. Analyzes benefit issues and recommends course of action. Assist clients with AHCCCS eligibility and enrollment. Verifies & updates demographic information in the electronic health record and assists the outpatient clinic with other related duties as assigned.
Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
