The primary role involves performing scrub duties and assisting in the nursing care of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment. Responsibilities include applying knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology, maintaining asepsis, preparing equipment, and anticipating surgeon needs to expedite procedures.
Candidates must be a Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of one year of experience, specifically including cardiac experience. The role requires significant manual dexterity, very heavy physical effort (up to 50 lbs force), and exposure to challenging physical environments.
