The primary duties involve preparing patients and equipment for diagnostic sleep studies, performing the tests while monitoring patients, and recording physiologic calibrations using various monitoring devices. Responsibilities also include collecting, analyzing, integrating patient information, and scoring, interpreting, and reporting the results of sleep studies.
Candidates must be able to work a Night Shift and must possess either the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification, along with Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification. The role requires constant alertness, frequent standing/walking, and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs frequently, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and patient movement.
