The LPN assists in providing direct patient care by executing and administering treatments as directed by a supervisor, while also reporting patient issues and maintaining accurate patient records. Responsibilities include educating patients and families and potentially functioning in an expanded role for IV therapy.
Candidates must possess a valid LPN license and be certified in IV therapy if required by the clinical area, along with obtaining BLS certification within 90 days of hire. The role requires knowledge of patient care protocols, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
