The Medical Assistant provides safe, therapeutic, and efficient care, assisting with direct patient care, performing treatments, and administering medications under supervision. They also instruct patients and families on appropriate care and actively participate in developing patient-centered office workflows.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, and either an Associate's Degree or Diploma Program in Medical Assisting is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or completion of a Medical Assistant Program is required, along with Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
Provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Assists in direct patient care, performs treatments, administers medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider. Is an active team participant in the patient-centered practice, by aiding in the development of office workflows that support patient centered care.
