The coordinator assists the manager/director of Performance Improvement in coordinating, integrating, and implementing organization-wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards. This includes conducting chart reviews, abstracting data for quality measures, and educating staff on quality indicators and updates.
Required qualifications include excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, experience reviewing charts for care issues, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with Medical Staff communication and strong interpersonal skills are also mandatory.
In collaboration with the manager/director of Performance Improvement is responsible for assisting in the coordination, integration, and implementation of the organization wide performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulatory and accreditation standards. Activities include but are not limited to chart reviews, data abstraction for CMS Core Measures and other quality outcomes studies, and staff education regarding core measures, other non-core abstractions, Quality measures and updates regarding new and enhance indicators. Develop, and adapt as necessary, information systems to report on key performance indicators to ensure that Supervisor/ managers/Director can measure and monitor and continuously improve performance.
Required qualifications: Excellent computer skills are required including proficiency in (MS Office (Word, Excel, Access). Experience in reviewing charts for care issues. Detail oriented organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple cases, directions and be able to follow-through. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Experience with Medical Staff communication a must. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with exceptional professional work ethics. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, database and typing.
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $30.00 to $46.89. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
