The Respiratory Therapist specializes in applying scientific knowledge to practical clinical problems in respiratory care, assuming primary clinical responsibility for all modalities specific to their area. This role also involves supervising students enrolled in respiratory care programs and exercising independent clinical judgment under physician supervision.

Assumes primary clinical responsibility for all respiratory care modalities specific to his or her clinical area, including responsibility involved in supervision of students enrolled in respiratory care programs. The Respiratory Therapist may be required to exercise considerable independent clinical judgement in the respiratory care of patients under the direct or indirect supervision of a physician.
Special equipment, skills or other requirements: BLS/ACLS/NRP/CPR Certification within orientation period

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
