The Ultrasound Student Tech performs basic ultrasound procedures under supervision, taking responsibility for patient care and safety during imaging. This includes obtaining complete patient histories and competently operating ultrasound equipment to produce quality diagnostic studies meeting established protocols.

Scope of Work
Perform basic ultrasound procedures.
Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered sonographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures.
Assume responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.
Obtains a complete patient history prior to performing an ultrasound procedure.
Operates ultrasound equipment competently to provide quality diagnostic studies that meets the requirements of established ultrasound protocols.

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program, along with one year of relevant experience. Basic Life Support certification from AHA or ARC is required upon hire.
