Nurses deliver and accurately document direct, age-specific care based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan, safely administering prescribed medications while identifying incompatibilities. Clinical Nurse II and III roles involve assisting the healthcare team with wellness and comfort, recognizing and intervening in patient situation changes, and providing direction and education at the unit level.
Candidates must possess a current RN licensure in Virginia or a compact state, along with an AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent. Required experience varies by clinical level, with Clinical Nurse II needing 12 to 24 months of RN experience, and Clinical Nurse III requiring 3 years of clinical experience; a Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a mandate to enroll in an RN to BSN program if a Bachelor's is not yet obtained.
