Responsible for providing prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals as needed for patient care which includes compounding, dispensing and labeling of drugs, interpreting and evaluating prescriptions, handling and storing medications. Acts as a consultant to medical and nursing staff as needed and maintains prescription records and any other activities included in the practice of pharmacy. Performs activities according to professional standards in compliance with established policies and procedures of the hospital and with federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operation and handling of medications.
