The Medical Laboratory Technician I performs routine analytical tests on biological specimens using various clinical laboratory equipment to provide quality results to physicians. This role requires a total understanding of patient safety and laboratory techniques to guarantee patient anonymity and safety.
Candidates must possess an Associate of Science in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent academic credit plus a Medical Lab Technician Program, or a completed U.S. military medical laboratory training course within the last ten years. A Medical Laboratory Technician Certification from a nationally recognized agency, preferably ASCP, is required, with two years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
