Assists anesthesia providers with patient care, induction, and monitoring across various age groups and surgical procedures. Manages the setup, sterilization, and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure a functional clinical environment.
Requires a degree from an accredited Anesthesia Technology program or ASATT certification, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods.
Assists the Anesthesia provider under the supervision of the Chief of Anesthesiology, or designee. Practices in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies and procedures.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center. Associate Degree Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems, if not a graduate of a program.
