About the role

Provide comprehensive general urologic care through a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient, and surgical responsibilities. Manage common urologic conditions and collaborate with primary care and specialists to grow the community-based program.

UVA Health is seeking a General Urologist to join and help grow a robust community-based urology program serving the Culpeper community and surrounding region.

This opportunity is designed for a physician who values broad-scope urology practice, strong community relationships, and the ability to shape local urologic services while remaining connected to the academic resources of UVA Health.

The position is focused on delivering accessible, high-quality urologic care, meeting strong and increasing demand across these growing communities.

Community-focused urology practice addressing a clear and growing local need Broad general urology practice with a mix of clinic, procedures, and surgery Opportunity to build long-term patient relationships and a loyal referral base Close collaboration with primary care and community-based specialists Ability to influence service development, workflows, and care delivery at the local level Practice & Team Environment: Community-based practice with a strong emphasis on patient access and care coordination Existing general urology coverage with access to subspecialty consultation as needed Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support Experienced nursing, clinical, and administrative teams Leadership committed to physician engagement, sustainable growth, and operational excellence Highly engaged executive team invested in the community and providing high-quality care in a community-based setting.

There is a culture of “Yes,” with a strong commitment to partnering with providers to establish the optimal patient-provider experience Community-based organization committed to serving with a growing medical group and strong backing of an academic medical center Highly competitive benefits package Competitive salary and incentives Access to teaching conferences, grand rounds, and other CME related activities Generous time off and CME policies Clinical Responsibilities: Outpatient urology clinic Inpatient and outpatient surgical care Diagnosis and management of common urologic conditions, including: BPH and voiding dysfunction Kidney stone disease Hematuria and urinary tract conditions Men’s & Women’s health concerns Mix of clinic, hospital, and OR responsibilities Shared call coverage within the community urology team Technology & Ancillary Services: Modern, recently renovated clinic space on the campus of Culpeper Medical Center Access to outpatient surgery centers and hospital-based ORs Diagnostic and procedural resources to support comprehensive general urology care Candidate Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology Interest in community-based urology practice Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care Strong communication and collaboration skills Desire to contribute to and grow a robust urology program The base compensation range for this role is $467,680 - $662,086 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status.

Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate’s qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education.

Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.

Requirements
