The Registered Nurse provides direct, age-specific patient care, administers medications, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans. They also provide patient education, maintain clinical documentation, and assist in the prevention of illness and injury.
Candidates must hold a current RN license in Virginia or a compact state and possess a diploma or associate degree in nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, and those without one must enroll in a program within two years of hire.
