As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will support the Therapy Department by providing caring and dedicated service to REHAB patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This involves carrying out treatment plans established by a Physical Therapist who will delegate tasks and provide necessary supervision.
Required qualifications include current State of Hawaii PTA licensure, current BLS certification, and graduation from a CAPTE-approved Physical Therapist Assistant curriculum or an education program deemed substantially equivalent, along with passing the national examination for PTAs. Candidates must also possess the ability to safely manage patient mobility and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Physical Therapist Assistant (Inpatient and Outpatient) Classification: Non-exempt Department: Therapy Reports To: Senior Therapist, Therapy Manager, Therapy Director POSITION SUMMARY: As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will help to ensure that REHAB patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB. You will provide support for the Therapy Department and assist with a variety of services with a commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive and innovative inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. These services include carrying out treatment plans which have been established specifically for the patient by a PT who will delegate and provide appropriate supervision for the PTA as required by the education and training level of the assistant. Wage Range: $26.03/hr to $39.05/hr The actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certification/Licensure: Current State of Hawaii PTA licensure Current BLS certification Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.
Skills/Experience Work experience in a healthcare setting in which the applicant has provided direct patient care in a rehabilitation setting.
