Mammography Technologist-Atlantic Health Wayne Ambulatory-Full Time: Mon-Fri 8a-4p

Principal Accountabilities

• Performs Mammographic and Bone Density exams; Performs Quality Control for Mammography to meet MQSA standards; Able to work independently and possesses strong critical thinking skills.
• Processes images using the PACS system.
• Complete and verify cases in a timely manner.
• Ensures work lists are cleaned up daily.
• Monitors and resolves Exceptions List daily.
• Proper utilization of the PenRad system.
• Assists with needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies as needed.
• Analyzes each acquired image for proper positioning, proper markers, date stickers, and appropriate labels and patient identification.
• Repeats image if presence of any factors that may deter from its diagnostic value Performs other related duties as assigned.
