The Physical Therapist Assistant will administer and assist with a wide range of physical therapy treatments using various methods while establishing strong relationships with patients to help them exceed their functional goals. Responsibilities also include demonstrating a positive connection with patients, families, clinicians, and other hospital team members, and building relationships with physicians and case management.
Candidates must be a graduate of a CAPTE approved physical therapy assistant program and possess current or pending state licensure along with Basic Life Support certification. Experience working with diverse patient populations in neuro, trauma, and ortho settings is also mentioned as an expected component of the role.
Job Overview & Responsibilities As an Inpatient/Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll use evidence-based techniques to transform patients’ lives. Your primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with a diagnosis of stroke, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and progressive neurological conditions. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients. Your Responsibilities as a Speech-Language Pathologist Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient to facilitate return home or to next level of care Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient’s family, fellow clinicians, and other team members Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff (i.e. physicians, case management, nurses, social workers, dietitians, etc.) Qualifications & Pay Range
