Administer highly skilled private duty nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. Ensure continuity of care and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing with a current Texas license as an RN or LVN. One year of experience in a clinical pediatric setting is strongly preferred, along with home health experience.
Seeking exceptionally skilled pediatric home health nurses (RN OR LVN) with flexibility, driven by compassion for caring in a dynamic environment. We seek travel nurses willing to cover both new and existing cases, ensuring comprehensive care. Premium escalated rates, financial incentives, including a gas card, are offered for this float nurse position and more. Must be flexible regarding staffing location.

Summary/Objective Primary function is to administer highly skilled private duty nursing care to pediatric patients/clients, in their places of residence; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/client, their family and referring agency. This role requires a seasoned nurse, with pediatric home health experience, willing to travel and confident in their skills to initiate care in the patient’s home under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Pay: Escalated hourly rate

Supervisory Responsibility: No
Works in multiple patients’/clients’ homes in various conditions; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases; must have ability to work a flexible schedule and to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather
Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50lbs and move patients/clients.
Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient/client needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition; meet patient/client and family individualized psychosocial needs.
Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Requires ability to adapt quickly to newly established patients onboarding to the agency including new families to homecare or from hospital to home or changing agencies.
Requires ability to work within dynamic team of transitioning care to established private duty nursing team.
Requires ability to teach and train caregivers and other nurses on team.
Requires excellent communication to supervisor, team members, parent, and physicians.
11. Highly skilled care including but not limited to ventilator management/trouble shooting, tracheostomy care/management, enteral/gastrostomy care management.
12. Willingness and ability to travel to newly onboarding patients.
13. Professional demeanor and practice working with changing team members.
14. Flexibility to provide staffing in variety of patient homes.
