  • Overview: Sutter Lakeside is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Oncology Physician to join our patient centered cancer care team. This role is ideal for a physician who is committed to delivering high quality care, supporting patients through diagnosis and treatment, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new oncology patients. Assess patient history, labs, imaging, and pathology to formulate accurate diagnoses. Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence‑based care. Enter and manage Beacon infusion orders, including updates and modifications. Provide ongoing monitoring through scheduled follow‑up visits. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology. Active California medical license (or ability to obtain). Organization Details Sutter Lakeside Hospital is nestled in the beautiful mountain ranges of Lake County and is a 25-bed critical access hospital. The critical access designation by the federal government ensures access to healthcare services for residents of rural communities. Sutter Lakeside is the only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County and is accredited by The Joint Commission. Pay Range is $432,016.00 to $702,998.40 / annual salary The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Doctorate from an accredited medical school and successfully complete medical residency and internship programs, along with eight years of recent relevant experience. Required certifications include MD or DO, CSRC, BLS, ACLS, and board eligibility/certification in the specialty upon hire.
