The Licensed Practical Nurse provides practical nursing support in a physician practice or clinic setting, delivering quality care under the direction of a physician or mid-level practitioner. Responsibilities include patient assessment, preparing patients for evaluation, administering medications, maintaining clinical areas, and documenting information in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam, holding current LPN licensure in Virginia and AHA BLS-HCP certification. One year of experience in a physician office is preferred, along with strong customer focus, communication skills, and proficiency with automated computer systems.

Must have the ability to problem-solve and communicate with a wide variety of people in an effective manner. Must exhibit skills to utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
