The role involves utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to care for patients, administering prescribed treatments according to standards, and performing comprehensive assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Responsibilities also include developing individualized patient care plans, participating in performance improvement activities, and utilizing clinical expertise to support the patient's longitudinal care plan.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, requiring an ADN upon hire with a BSN preferred. A valid RN license in the state of practice is mandatory, along with an approved CPR/BLS certification within 90 days, and potentially other unit-specific certifications like ACLS or PALS.
