The Residential Counselor will establish positive relationships with residents, providing guidance in daily living activities like personal care and meal planning, while implementing and monitoring individualized treatment plans. They will also facilitate therapeutic programs to promote skill development and community integration.
The minimum requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent plus two years of related mental health experience, along with maintaining a valid driver's license with an acceptable record. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant human services discipline with experience working with chronically mentally ill adults.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, fostering a supportive and caring environment. Provide assistance and guidance to residents in daily living activities, including personal care, meal planning, and household chores. Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being or residents. Facilitate group activities and therapeutic programs that promote skill development, socialization, and community integration. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of residents' progress, incidents, and any significant observations. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including residential supervisor, nurse, director, and medical professionals.

Preferred is a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a mental health, health or other appropriate human services related discipline with knowledge of and experience with the chronic mentally ill adult population.
Base Pay: $18.50 Bilingual Rate: An additional $1.50/hourly rate added to the base pay if Spanish proficient.
