Dental Assistants prepare patients for oral examinations and assist dental professionals during treatment, while also handling chair-side duties, maintaining sterile environments, and managing patient records and appointments. Key tasks include preparing patients, providing assistance during procedures, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and performing administrative functions like scheduling and payment collection.
Candidates must possess at least two years of dental assisting experience and hold the required certification as a Registered Dental Assistant. Essential qualifications include knowledge of legal/ethical standards, strong computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to document patient encounters using an electronic dental record.
