Looking for med techs that currently possess microbiology experience.
This role, under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Manager or Laboratory Director, permits the Medical Laboratory Technician to perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility and exercise independent judgment minimally, as competency is demonstrated.
Accuracy: Maintains acceptable accuracy in-patient, quality assurance, proficiency and competency testing.
Critical Thinking: Uses clinical/theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret and report lab data.
Job Knowledge: Maintains current personal training, education and practice of policies and procedures.
Productivity: Practices organizational skills for efficient of time, materials, cost and availability of lab data.
Communication: Practices information monitoring, investigation, resolution and hand-off to team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
• Associates Medical Technology or Other / Certificate Medical Technology
For persons who possess the technician qualifications and have recently moved into the state or completed the academic and/or training requirements, they may be temporarily classified once as technicians within 1-1/2 Yrs Required
• Minimum 1 year Laboratory experience Preferred

Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related certificate, along with an MLT certification (AAB, AMT, or ASCP) required upon hire. A minimum of one year of laboratory experience is preferred for this position.
