The technologist is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical CT procedures requiring independent judgment, including setting up equipment, positioning patients, and obtaining quality diagnostic studies according to department procedures. Core duties involve comprehensive patient care, such as verifying orders, assessing contraindications, administering contrast safely, and ensuring proper image identification and release.
Candidates must possess a Certificate in Radiologic Technology along with current ARRT certifications in Radiography and Computed Tomography, and Basic Life Support certification. A minimum of one year of experience in Radiology is required, though less than one year in CT is preferred, alongside excellent communication and customer service skills.
