Technologists are responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening and radiation safety protocols when handling radioactive materials, while producing high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images. They must also effectively communicate with customers/radiologists and train new personnel, in addition to troubleshooting equipment.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's Degree preferred) and hold required certification in Nuclear Medicine from NMTCB or ARRT (N), along with CPR certification and potentially a state driver's license. Preferred experience includes 1-2 years in Nuclear Medicine procedures, and the role demands strong customer service and organizational skills.
