The registered nurse and graduate nurse function as professional caregivers, assuming responsibility for providing quality care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of patient needs. Essential functions include performing comprehensive patient assessments, formulating goal-directed plans of care, coordinating patient activities, and responding appropriately in emergency situations.
Required qualifications for Registered Nurses include successful completion of an accredited nursing program and current licensure in Connecticut, along with demonstrated clinical competence. Graduate Nurses require successful completion of an accredited program and adherence to temporary practice provisions outlined by state health departments.
