About the role

The AOA MRI/X-Ray Tech utilizes imaging equipment to obtain appropriate images as directed by the physician and instructs patients on procedures. They also perform venipuncture, administer contrast, maintain images in the electronic system, and ensure cleanliness of work areas.

Note

The position is full time with our shifts during the work week of Monday - Friday, variable days, no call, no weekends, and no holidays.

Position Summary

We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude to provide technical x-ray/fluoroscopy support at our fast-paced, patient driven facility located in the heart of Johnson City. The successful candidate must be licensed in the State of TN for X-ray Operator in MD Office and will ensure that X-Ray/fluoroscopy procedures are performed in a way that's in line with regulatory standards. Experience with fluoroscopy required. They will also assist in answering questions from patients and families and be responsible for taking medical histories and performing preliminary examinations on new patients.

  • Utilizes radiologic equipment with proper techniques and procedures to obtain appropriate radiological images as directed by the physician
  • Instructs patients appropriately on radiological procedure
  • Maintains images in our electronic system
  • Maintains and cleans examination rooms and equipment
  • Make sure that the radiation exposure is within governmental guidelines
  • Maintains equipment registrations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills & abilities

Education

Completion of an accredited post secondary training program in radiology. Required.

Experience

One year of applicable experience is preferred. Experience with fluoroscopy required.

Computer Skills

Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required.

Certifications & Licenses

ARRT certification and current license in Tennessee or Mississippi (depending on the work location) is required and must be maintained.
