About the Role

• The ER RN Pool position at Larkin Community Hospital is a critical role focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
• The primary objective is to assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
• This role requires adaptability to work across various shifts and units within the emergency department, providing support wherever patient care demands are highest.
• The ER RN Pool nurse collaborates closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ultimately, this position aims to enhance patient outcomes through expert clinical skills, rapid decision-making, and empathetic patient interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
• Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent nursing education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or equivalent specialty certification.
• Experience working in a high-volume urban hospital emergency department.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in acute care settings.
• Strong background in trauma nursing and critical care interventions.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting.
