The Psychiatrist is responsible for prescribing, directing, or administering psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders, and designing individualized mental health care plans based on patient assessments. This role also involves collaborating with the Behavioral Health Team and educating patients and community members about mental illness and available resources.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (M.D./DO) degree in Psychiatry and hold a clear, active Florida Psychiatrist License, Board Certification (ABPN), and an active DEA license. A minimum of 7 years of working experience as a Provider in Psychiatry or Mental Health services is required, along with proficiency in EMR/EHR software and strong communication skills.
