The technologist performs a variety of technical laboratory procedures and evaluates results using automated or manual methodologies. They are responsible for maintaining quality control, ensuring specimen integrity, and reporting critical results to caregivers within established timeframes.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry. A valid Clinical Lab Technologist license and certification from ASCP or AMT are required, along with experience in five specific laboratory specialties.
