The surgeon will provide full-time employed services primarily to Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage required for Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital, including Level 1 Trauma Thoracic coverage on shared weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include outpatient clinic time (1-2 days per week) and OR time based on caseload and ER consults, alongside required inpatient rounding in ICU units.
Candidates must be Board Certified and possess an active Michigan Medical License or be willing to obtain one to join the existing group providing cardiology services within the Detroit Medical Center health system. This is a full-time, employed position requiring shared weekend and holiday call coverage.

Position Highlights Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery — full-time employed position Primary Site: Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage at Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital (Adult Central Campus) Schedule: Monday–Friday; outpatient clinic 1–2 days per week with OR time driven by caseload and ER consults Call: Weekends and holidays shared with a group of two CT surgeons, including Level I Trauma Thoracic coverage Inpatient Rounding: Required, including ICU units Support Staff: 2 CT Surgical PAs available to assist with rounding and call Practice Setting: Award-winning multi-hospital system with Level I and II Trauma Centers, tertiary adult and pediatric referral centers, and community hospitals Logistics: All DMC facilities offer easy access and free parking
