The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering professional respiratory care services to address the physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, developmental, and age-appropriate needs of patients and families. This includes performing physician-ordered treatments, educating patients, monitoring therapy procedures, and responding to various emergency situations.

Accountable for a group of patients for a designated time period. Provides care and care planning in concert with other professional healthcare providers.

Candidates must be graduates of an approved Respiratory Therapy program and hold a Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) certification from the State Board of Healing Arts and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC.
