Job Overview

• Fairview has an immediate opening for a Surgical Technologist at Wyoming Lakes Hospital located in Wyoming, MN.
• This is a 0.6 FTE, benefits-eligible opening on day shift, 12 hour shifts, every Saturday and Sunday, 7AM - 7PM, no weekend call.
• This position offers a $4500 New Hire Sign-On Bonus and a generous relocation bonus up to $5000.
• As a Surgical Technologist, you’ll assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, arranging, and passing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring a sterile environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team and maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room.
• As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for: Supplying appropriate instruments, suture, and specialty items.
• Maintaining aseptic technique during all sterile procedures.
• Ensuring accurate identification and handling of specimens.
• Counting all required sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room in readiness of next patient.
• Aligns with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures, and standards.

• Assuring availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment.
• Modifying clinical interventions based on population served.

• Required Qualifications: Complete one of the following by hire date: Military Surgical Assistant; OR Surgical Technologist training Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain by hire date)

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program AST certification or certification eligible at time of hire 1 to 3 years surgical tech experience Other Required Skills: Knowledge of physical, psychosocial, and cognitive developmental needs of population served. Knowledge of age-appropriate outcomes and interventions. Desired Skills: Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations. Ability to work well under a team environment.
