The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant implements standards of care for occupational therapy services under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist, participating in ongoing patient functional status and home environment evaluations. Duties include teaching new skills, maintaining clinical records, following established treatment plans, and coordinating care with other personnel involved in patient care.
Candidates must be licensed in Washington state and have graduated from an ACOTE-accredited OT assistant program, being eligible for or having taken the NBCOT certification examination. A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant is required, along with good communication skills and current CPR certification.
