The role involves performing and teaching specialized general diagnostic radiography procedures using complex equipment, covering areas like adult/pediatric radiology, emergency room, and OR. Duties also include operating, troubleshooting imaging systems, instructing staff, and ensuring patient welfare during procedures.
Candidates must qualify as either an Imaging Technologist or Senior Imaging Technologist, requiring specific educational backgrounds and current ARRT certification plus an Iowa Permit to Practice. Senior Technologists require a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, while the role generally demands skills in operating advanced imaging modalities and providing direct patient care.
