As an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will provide care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations (also called cardiac cath or coronary angiogram).
This is an invasive imaging procedure that evaluates heart function by inserting a catheter into a blood vessel in the arm or groin and then into the coronary arteries.
An RN in this role should be familiar with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support.
