The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for a variety of tasks including scheduling, documentation, coding, charge entry, answering phones, filing, medical records, and processing daily batches and denials. The role also involves account analysis and performing other assigned duties.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred qualifications including business training, computer training, CPT/ICD training, and medical terminology knowledge. Candidates should possess one to two years of experience in the medical field, preferably with E&M coding experience.
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Patient Account Representative whose duties include scheduling, documentation, coding, charge entry, answering phone, filing, medical records, daily batches, denials, account analysis, and performing other duties as required or assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Business training, computer training, CPT/ICD training and medical terminology preferred.
One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in the medical field with E&M coding preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and physician practice management applications.
Speed and accuracy in typing. Good math skills. Excellent oral and written communications, ability to deal with medical center staff and public. Ability to perform a variety of duties.
