The primary responsibility involves performing all necessary diagnostic x-ray procedures as directed by physicians, ensuring patient preparation and accurate execution of exams. A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Completion of course in Radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; current certification (ARRT) (R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Kansas State licensure and CPR certification required.

Skill in vein cannulization; recognizing and responding to patient's needs; monitoring the patient's condition; sterile techniques and procedures; maintaining records and recording information; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public. Physical
Requirements: Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operation and repair of all departmental equipment. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds; lifts and appropriately positions patients weighing up to 300 pounds. Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
